Laugh for a while with some of the funniest animal photos – they’re rewarding

The Wild Comics Photography AWARDS have just announced the 2021 finalists, and the photos lived up to the motto that they are some of the funniest in the world, from boxing kangaroos to a naughty dragonfly.

The contest began in 2015 with its co-founders, Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam. Joynson-Hicks began the contest after realizing that wild humorous photographs were a special way to raise awareness about the conservation of these funny animals.

Now the contest accepts thousands of funny images from around the world and encourages conversation about wildlife conservation. Joynson-Hicks says there were an overwhelming number of competitors this year.

“We were overwhelmed by the number of quality participants we received this year, with more than 7,000 photographs sent from every corner of the orb,” Joynson-Hicks comments. “It was an amazing turnout, especially given the impact of the pandemic.

“The sheer number of images we receive each year illustrates the appetite to participate in the conversation, and it reminds us that wildlife is truly amazing and hilarious and we must do everything we can to protect it. “, add.

Each year, the contest gives 10 percent of its net income to a conservation organization. This year the pageant will be donated to Gunung Palung’s Orangutan Conservation Program, which works to protect wild orangutans in Borneo.

“Reducing the list of photos was harder than before this year,” Sullam says. “There were so many funny photos that made us laugh that we couldn’t agree on the top 40, so we’ll post the top 42 instead!”
