Launch of Marvel’s new Avengers update, revealed in Patch Notes

The Marvel Avengers players have received a new update this week that should improve performance and fix some issues that were causing a blockage of player games. The same update added a notification that will warn players if their drivers are not up to date, which could cause problems with the game. Unfortunately for those playing on consoles, the update is only available for the PC platform via Steam, so there is no cross-platform update to talk about at the moment.

The patch notes for the V1.4.1.26 update were shared via the game community page on Steam to detail exactly what was different after the patch was released. A quick look at the patch notes is much more of a cleanup update that solves issues that players have been experiencing rather than any fleshy update with new features to check out. However, for those who have experienced some of the issues described in the patch notes, it will be a welcome version.

You can find the full details of the The Marvel Avengers update below courtesy of the game’s Steam page:

The Marvel Avengers V1.4.1.26 Steam update patch notes

  • Stability and performance improvements, this patch fixes some DEVICE_HUNG error reports.
  • Marvel’s Avengers NVIDIA DLSS now supports dynamic resolution scale (DRS). When DRS is enabled along with DLSS, DLSS dynamically adjusts the rendering resolution to deliver maximum image quality while maintaining the target frame rate.
  • When the settings for the first run of the game are set or when the default settings are reset, the game will now set the default values that best suit your machine. The selected output resolution will take into account your GPU power, the dynamic resolution scale will be set to 60 fps on sufficiently compatible hardware, and DLSS will be enabled by default on all hardware that supports it.
  • Now the game warns NVIDIA hardware players with drivers prior to 461.09 to upgrade them. These drivers contain important fixes for solid Marvel Avengers performance and stability.

The Marvel Avengers gamers from all platforms have a Hawkeye War Table event that we hope will arrive soon to share more information about the upcoming DLC. To help retain players until then, Crystal Dynamics offered a free Kate Bishop package to redeem players.
