The Foxes of the Atlas met again with the victory this Saturday, since with tombarella including the rojinegros they won by 2-1 to Striped of Monterrey. With goals of Julian Quiñones in the 61 ‘and of Julio Furch in the 79 ‘, the team led by the Argentine Diego Cocca won a game again after more than a month without getting it, as his last victory had been on August 9 against Pachuca.
As usual Atlas suffered to get this result, and was even at a disadvantage after the team opened the scoring at the Jalisco Stadium just in the 13th minute, thanks to a note from the Colombian Tobacco Vergara, Who opened up space to shoot at the boundaries of the area and then pulled one out right who beat goalkeeper Camilo Vargas.
After Rayados’ goal, Atlas overturned the front without his effort being capitalized, as although he shook the nets on a couple of occasions between the 15th and 20th minute, in both plays the gentleman of the whistle annulled the tapatío goal by out of place.
Fortunately for the local cause the Foxes got the equalizer already in the complementary part, since just in minute 61 Julián Quiñones marked his second goal like player of the Atlas when finishing off of volley a ball that he was adrift in front of the frame.
Almost 20 minutes later, already in the 79th minute, Julio Furch scored the winning goal rojinegra with a solid headbutt on the outskirts of the small area.
In a deflected shot from Brayan Garnica, the ball went in the direction of Furch and he did not hesitate to shoot hard to turn the game around.
With this result the Foxes ended the defeat of the Rayados de Monterrey, since in the previous seven days those of the Sultana of the North had not known the defeat.
