Leaker reveals the size of Apple’s AirTag tags and says they will cost about $ 39

Rumors of tracking Apple AirTags items will be slightly larger than a 50-cent coin and about three times the thickness, according to the dimensions offered by leaker Max Weinbach (via the EverythingApplePro YouTube channel).

According to Weinbach, irAirTags‌ will have a unique size of 32mm x 32mm x 6mm, which would put circular devices at the same diameter level as a half-dollar piece, slightly smaller than Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTags (39 mm x 39 mm x 9 mm)) and slightly larger than a tile adhesive (27 mm x 7.3 mm).

A previous rumor from L0vetodream suggested that Apple would make irAirTags‌ available in two size options, but it’s unclear why two sizes would be needed.

Based on images found inside an internal version of iOS 13, irAirTags‌‌ are small circular white labels with an Apple logo on the front. They will probably stick to items using stickers or a attachment point like a ring, and there can be several ways to use them with different items.

According to its retail sources, Weinbach says “AirTags” is priced at approximately $ 39 each (Samsung’s SmartTags are $ 29.99). When they launch, the question remains.

A new “Elements” tab enabled by default in the Find Mine app in iOS 14.5 beta has given hope that Apple’s long-awaited “AirTags” item tracker will finally launch soon. Apple said iOS 14.5 will be released in “early spring,” but a specific release date is not yet clear.

Weinbach also believes that Apple will announce new products “soon”, either through a press release or some sort of event, although at best, rumors of events remain murky. According to a YouTube video by Jon Prosser, the “hit-or-miss” leaker, Apple plans to host an event in April this year.

Prosser himself acknowledges that it’s worth treating this April event rumor with some skepticism, as it would be Apple’s first event in 11 years, but he does say the source he got has a perfect track record.

Either way, Weinbach’s retail source tells him they expect three new products to move into the tablet, laptop and accessory category.

Laptops are likely to be new seasonal Apple Watch groups, new colors for solo loop bands, and possibly a new band style. The new iPad Pro, which is rumored, is the new tablet, while ‌AirTags‌ will fall into the category of accessories.

Volumetric shipments of mini-LED display components for a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro will begin in the second quarter of 2021, which runs from April to June. BloombergMark Gurman has previously stated that Apple plans to announce new iPads in April, including the new 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.
