The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs faced off in a duel that will go down in history. Lebron James turned 36 this December 30th and once again took his name to the golden pages of the NBA master book. The King became the first player in league history to turn 10 points into 1,000 consecutive regular-season games. A madness.
As if that weren’t enough for Lebron, the Lakers got back on the road to victory, after one unexpected home defeat to Portland Trail Blazers. The Spurs played a great first half, but in the second the Los Angeles franchise brought out the champion plate and took the game 121-107.
The Lakers started better and managed to take the first quarter 35-27. When the locals seemed to take the second half, everything went awry. first Gregg Popovich was the replacement. Becky Hammon was the replacement. On the other hand, when the difference at the end seemed to be five points, the Lakers found a double from James and a three-unit play from Marc Gasol, stretching the difference to 10.
The third quarter began with the dominant Los Angeles Lakers, where they managed to pull out an 18-point window. However, the San Antonio Spurs continued to fight and went 10 points down at the last break. In the same way, Frank Vogel adjusted the necessary and in the last quarter ended the sentence 121-107.
Lebron James, again the best
In his first game at 36, Lebron James showed why he remains the King of the NBA and why age is just a number. James finished the night with 26 points -17- in the first half, in addition to handing out 8 assists and catching 5 rebounds. Anthony Davis? 20 units, 9 boards and 3 assists.
