Although most shops and restaurants are closed on Christmas Day, some places are open, including those on the list below.
Every year, when I post this list, I hear readers bothering them that every business site isn’t closed on this holiday. I encourage you to remember that there are reasons why many of these companies are open, including:
* allow our essential workers to take gas on the way to and from work;
* give people a place to eat a bite after a long drive to the hospital or fire station, for example;
* offer a place to buy over-the-counter medications for a sick family member or friend; i
* Provide much needed income for essential workers who have struggled to get the two weekends together, especially during this incredibly difficult year (every year I get news from several people who say they volunteer to work Christmas because of the premium paid ).
Stores open on Christmas Day 2020
Circle K: Most locations are open during the hours indicated in your website.
CVS: Most CVS stores are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. CVS locations in Target stores are not open on Christmas Day because Target stores are closed on 12/25. Store and pharmacy hours vary by location. Most CVS pharmacies closed on 12/25/20. See the CVS website for specific hours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Family Pricing Stores: Family Fare locations will be open on Christmas Day.
Sheetz: Most Sheetz locations will be open. I’ll see your website by locations.
Speedway: Many Speedway locations are open on Christmas Day. I’ll see your website by locations.
Walgreens: According to one Walgreens press release, stores will open regular Christmas Day. Pharmacy hours vary by location on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I’ll see your website for the specific times of your location.

Amber flavors and tastes in Morrisville: Christmas Day open. Check their website for booking information or take them out.
Asian cuisine in Durham: Usual schedule on Christmas day.
Boston Market: Some Boston market locations are open on Christmas Day. I’ll see your website to check if yours will be open.
C&T Wok in Morrisville: On Christmas Day they are open during normal hours.
Cleveland Draft House: The Clayton location is open from 5pm to 10pm on Christmas Day. There are no alcohol sales after 9 p.m. They also offer takeaway food. See the menu on your website.
Denny’s: Denny’s selected locations are open on Christmas Day, although many close early. The Raleigh location on Wake Forest Rd is open until 3pm on 12/25/20. Website schedule was not updated at the time it was posted. We suggest you call your location to see if they are open.
