Among the six main awards, in men’s football the FIFA will deliver the prestigious prize to the best player of the season, to the one of better trainer and finally to the best arquero.
In singing in women’s football, three distinctions will be awarded applying the same logic: best player, best coach, and best goalkeeper.
In addition to six awards, the most prestigious, the jury will award the famous’Puskas Prizemost spectacular goal of the year.
The FIFA will design the eleven types of the season and, more anecdotally, will award a distinction to fair play and an award to fans valuing “an exceptional gesture or moment” after the vote of the fans.
The winners are designed through the votes of captains and national coaches, a group of more than 200 journalists, as well as fans who voted online between November 25 and December 9.
For the individual awards (male or female) for best footballer, goalkeeper and coach, each of the groups of voters represents a quarter of the total coupon.
The ceremony
The virtual event, which will take place at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich (Switzerland), will be broadcast live on the institution’s website, and will be presented by AC Milan legend Ruud Gullit, accompanied by journalist Reshwin Chowdhury.
The trophies
Designed by Croatian artist Ana Barbic Katicic, each trophy at The Best Awards, with a platinum patina, measures 31 centimeters, weighs 6.4 kilos and lights a ball inspired by use in the first final of a World Cup, in 1930 between Uruguay and Argentina.
