The Super Bowl halfway show is one of the most important venues in the sport.
This year’s mid-edition show features Canadian singer and songwriter Weeknd.
The Weeknd has won three Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. He burst onto the music scene with his song “Can’t Feel My Face”.
The standard 15-minute halfway show lengthens to almost 30 minutes for the extravagant half-part performance. And with half of football usually lasting about an hour and a half, it’s reasonable to expect the Weeknd performance to start a little after 8pm ET.
The show attracts tens of millions of spectators, many of whom are not particularly interested in the game of real football.
