Local special events prepared for New Year’s Eve

Don’t have plans for New Year’s Eve yet? Here is a sample of local special events prepared for tomorrow night.

Silver Spring’s new music venue, Silver Strings (8630 Colesville Rd.), Will feature two seats and two bands.

The Petkoff Jazz Trio, with vocalist Sarah Laven Jones, will play from 6 to 9 p.m. Purple Time of Day, a tribute band to Prince, will take the floor for the final turn.

Both seats will include a three-course dinner, with dessert and champagne or sparkling cider, with options from a special New Year’s menu.

The first seat is $ 45 for one person and $ 80 for a couple, while the second is $ 55 for one person and $ 100 for a couple.

The DC Blues Society will hold its annual New Year’s Eve celebration at the Cissel-Saxon American Legion (905 Sligo Ave.) with Mark Wenner’s Blues Warriors. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and music begins at 8:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are $ 40 for members of the society and $ 45 for non-members. At the door, the price will be $ 45 for members and $ 50 for non-members. The topping price includes a midnight champagne toast; there will be a cash bar available.

Denizens Brewing Co. (1115 East-West Highway) will mark the eve of the new beer from 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. , and music by Les the DJ.

At All Set Restaurant and Bar (8630 Fenton St), Chef Edward Reavis has created a three-course set price menu for $ 55 (excluding drinks, taxes, or free).

Starting at 10 p.m., Haus of Stone will perform a drag show from the 1920s, with games and more until 1:30 p.m. The general admission to the show is $ 20 and All Set offers a pack of unlimited drinks for $ 60.

The evening celebration from 8pm to 1am at Silver Branch Brewing Co. (8401 Colesville Rd.) Includes a long list of so-called “all-star” draft beers, hearty snacks, an open bar, Smile & Wave music and a $ 75 per person champagne toast.
