Lone Star actor Ronen Rubinstein goes bisexual

“9-1-1: Lone Star” actor Ronen Rubinstein has gone bisexual with the support of his girlfriend.

“I fully identify as bisexual,” Rubinstein told Variety. “Literally, I just had goosebumps saying that. Talking about it feels very good, finally it feels very good to be comfortable with it ”.

Rubinstein, 27, immediately found support from his girlfriend Jessica Parker Kennedy, 36, who insisted he embrace his true self.

“She’s actually one of the first people to call me respectfully,” Rubinstein said of Kennedy. “She says,‘ Is there anything we need to talk about? And I said, “Maybe.” I didn’t know how this conversation would go. And it has probably gone as well as it can.

“It definitely encouraged me to be vocal about it, just to live my truth,” he added. “She’s like, ‘I love you for who you are, your complete self and people will love you for who you are and your complete self.’

The “No Escape” star, who was born in Israel and moved to Staten Island when he was five, said he grew up where he made – without explicitly naming any – his decision to remain locked up.

“The most important thing for me is, where I come from, it’s like people like me and people who have identified as bisexual or gay or like anyone in the community; you’re just not welcome. It’s as brutally honest as that, “he said.” He’s either faced a madness of desecration, as if the letter F was being thrown all the time, or punched if he was gay.

“So there was definitely a fear of embracing what I was feeling,” he continued. “Without a doubt, I was more aware of it in high school. I was aware of my feelings and how I started looking at men, but I couldn’t talk to anyone about it. “

Rubinstein found that fans of the “9-1-1” character, TK Stand, and her boyfriend, Carlos Reyes (the couple is known as “Tarlos”), were especially in favor of his revelation.

“Fans, especially Tarlos fans, are one of the most important reasons why I finally felt safe and comfortable talking about it and finally embracing it and being happy with it.”
