Look at the “American Idol” singer who will be “The Cursed Winner,” says Luke Bryan

Katy Perry called hopeful Casey Bishop “American Idol” “very, very well” in Sunday’s episode. His judge Luke Bryan went even further.

“I think she’s the damn winner of the‘ American Idol ’period,” he said. (Watch the video below.)

Bishop, 15, of Estero, Florida, said he “really had no acting experience” before his audition, even though he allegedly attended a performing arts school.

His talent was undeniable, as he made an a cappella version of Motley Crue’s “Live Wire” and a Sarah Vaughan-inspired version of “My Funny Valentine.”

Bishop sang the second song after Perry asked him to highlight the soul part of his voice, and this was demonstrated in Bryan’s prediction.

Bryan compared the impression he made to musician Alejandro Aranda’s 2019 test, after which Perry predicted he would win. Aranda took second place.

The next edition of Bishop is Hollywood Week. Good luck, boy.
