SAN DIEGO – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated camper Mookie Betts from the ten-day injury list, and he started Thursday night at right field with a 4-0 win over the San Diego Padres.
Betts beat third in the lineup and scored 0-3 with a walk in their first game since Aug. 7.
He missed 16 games with swollen right hip. The 2018 American League MVP, while with Boston, Betts achieves a .274 with 17 homers and 44 RBI.
The Dodgers also remembered Darien Núñez on the left and opted for intern Gavin Lux and former champion / champion Matt Beaty at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Núñez returns for his fourth stint with the club and is 0-1 with an ERA of 8.22 in six games, including a start, this season.
