Year of many testsbas for Lourdes Del Río, journalist of ‘First Impact’ y Univision News. He first had to cross the COVID-19, and now falls the man he defines as his hero, as one of the greatest loves of his life: his father.

On his Instagram account, Del Río, who has great communication with his followers for the redesigns, shared the sad news of the death of his father product of COVID-19.

With a series of photos very significant to her, such as her wedding, her father’s visit to Univision and others, the journalist dedicated those words to her on Instagram.

“There is news that we know will inevitably come into our lives. Yesterday I received one of those. With the transparency that characterizes me, the shared that my adored father, my hero, one of the greatest love he has in life, has left this world.

Rafael Antonio Del Río Pérez was a great man and the best of his parents. He was always there in my best and worst moments. I am left with the satisfaction of living proud of myself. My old man enjoyed each of my achievements as if they were his own. And they were because thanks to the opportunities he and my mother gave me, it led me to become the woman I am today.

A photographer by profession, and a born communicator, Dad taught me to love images. An excellent chess player and self-taught par excellence, he was always able to have a pleasant conversation, the same with a bricklayer as with a lawyer.

It had been years since Alzheimer’s deprived me of his company and his keen intelligence and now Covid took it all in stride. For those who think the coronavirus is not real, think again. The enemy is still present and stalking us, we have to keep taking care.

You know that I try to live my life #EnPositivo and that’s why, despite how I feel today, I remind you that pain is part of life, without that point of comparison we could not understand happiness. 🙏🏻

This gap that I feel in my soul today will diminish over time, but what I am sure of is that what will never diminish, is the great love that I feel and I always feel for the being that I gave my life and I went take her hand to viurela. Rest dear dad, you had a great life and that we celebrate today those who love you. Rest in Peace. 🙏🏻 ”.

In July we told you that Lourdes, who weighs in that she kept reporting that she had taken care of the extreme, had had a positive on COVID-19. He had difficult times and milder ones. And although she did not need to be hospitalized, she was monitored by her doctor.

Today, the same illness she was able to overcome her dad. Rest in peace Rafael Antonio and resignation for Lourdes and her family.
