Loves Furniture officially files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

WARREN, jo. – Loves Furniture, the company that took over many closed locations of Art Van Furniture, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy of Loves Furniture was filed in U.S. bankruptcy court on Wednesday. Art Van Furniture filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March last year.

In May last year, it was announced that Loves Furniture would reopen 27 Art Van locations closed in six states, including 17 locations in Michigan.

Prior to filing for bankruptcy, Loves Furniture had announced that some locations would close. Customers reported long delivery delays.

The filing document states that Loves Furniture has between 100 and 199 creditors and between $ 10 million and $ 50 million in liabilities.
