SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – The Lehigh Valley Health Network said it will begin mass COVID-19 vaccinations in Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom on Wednesday, January 27th.
LVHN will vaccinate those 75 years of age or older and only those who have an appointment. The driving clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vaccination is free.
LVHN said it is recommended that people over the age of 75 use MyLVHN to schedule a vaccination appointment. Those who already have an account will receive a notification to schedule a vaccination appointment. Those who want to sign up for MyLVHN can visit the LVHN website and click “Register” at the top of the page. Once registered, these people will also receive a notification to schedule an appointment. People can also call 833-LVHN-CVD (833-584-6283).
The ability to schedule an appointment depends on the supply of the vaccine available to LVHN, which determines the status, according to a health network press release.
LVHN said it will continue to expand its mass vaccination program. Places are established in Northampton and Monroe counties in coordination with local health offices and authorities. People need an appointment to receive the vaccine at all LVHN sites, including mass vaccination sites, where the health network said it expects to vaccinate at least 5,000 people a day when it has an adequate supply.
LVHN says that even after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, people should continue to wear a mask in public, wash their hands frequently, and stay socially away until the majority of the community is vaccinated.
