WARREN, jo. – Macomb County is stepping up its efforts to vaccinate more people against COVID-19.
A new clinic will open Monday at the Southwest Health Center in Majestic Plaza, located on Van Dyke Avenue, north of I-696 in Warren.
It is the fourth county-affiliated COVID vaccination site in Macomb County.
Other places in the county include the mass vaccination site in the Verkuilen Building in Clinton Township, the Richmond-Lenox EMS Exploitation Site, and the Sterling Heights Center for the Elderly.

County officials said the new location of Majestic Plaza was chosen to be as accessible as possible.
“It simply came to our notice then. The unit is smaller, it’s just around the corner, it’s a recognized building that has been in the community and serves the community, ”said Andrew Cox, director of the Macomb County Department of Health. “I think for us it only made sense to get something on the south side.”
The clinic will not be open for consultations and an appointment must be made in advance. You can get an appointment on the Macomb County website here.
