Augusta, Maine (Wapi) – 427 new Govt-19 cases were reported in the state of Maine CDC on Monday. This is the new record for daily infections.
Two more miners have died of the corona virus – an 80-year-old man and woman from York County.
The state’s death toll is now 259.
There have been a total of 16,349 cases in Maine since the outbreak began in March. Of those, 5,542 are active.
Recoveries range from 57 to 10,548.
New cases are on the rise in Androskok County, where an additional 105 people were added Monday. The total number of cases now exceeds 2,000, with the number of active cases rising to 680 there.
Benoit County is up 41 percent, while Sacothock County 7 is up.
Lincoln is the only district where no new cases have been reported.
