Raleigh, North Carolina – A man accused of threatening others with a chainsaw at a Raleigh hotel is in custody.
Sunday around 1:30 p.m., Raleigh police said he “has a suspect in custody in connection with the incident.”
Police surrounded the Red Roof Inn on South Saunders Street after answering a disturbed call Saturday night at 9:15 p.m.
The man threatened several people, but no one was injured. Police said the man used a chainsaw to threaten the victims. The man in question left the hotel with what appeared to be a dark-colored sedan.
Security images captured the man wearing a dark green baseball cap, a long white coat, dark jeans and white shoes.
The motive surrounding man’s actions is unknown. The suspect is wanted for attempted kidnapping, aggravated assault and property damage.
