Rosadell, M.D. (WJZ) – The meeting between the two men outside Walmart on Petrie Way Road in Rosadell ended in a horrific shooting Sunday night.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 20-year-old Kumar Jumar Burney from Rosadel.
“During this meeting, one of the two pulled out a gun and shot the other,” said Baltimore County Police Spokeswoman Jen Beach.
Just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday night, Baltimore County police responded to the scene after receiving a call about the shooting.
When officers arrived, they found the victim shot. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Now, police have not identified a suspect and are trying to determine why the two men met.
“We are still investigating the circumstances under which this meeting took place. We do not know what they were in contact with each other, or what their motives were when they met here,” Beach said.
“It was horrible what happened here,” Mason said.
Mason said this has been coming to Walmart for 15 years. He said it is very sad that this shooting happened at this time of the year.
“You don’t want to hear about people getting hurt when shopping at Christmas like this,” he said.
Police said they are now talking to a few people at a police station to find out more about what they know about the shooting.
