In other words, the City has reduced by 196 million euros the offer of 693 million that it offered six months ago to the crack of Barcelona. The quoted newspaper assures that the contacts between the two parts never were cut and that the contract offered on the part of the City will be of five seasons, regardless of that the Argentine is 33 years old.
According to the British media, two of these five seasons would be at Manchester City with an optional third and the last two at New York City FC in the United States MLS.
In addition to the possibility of playing a season in India or the United Arab Emirates and the option of the agreement being eight years for the ’10’ to take up the post of ambassador to the City Football Group with ten teams spread over four continents, after his time as a footballer.
“PSG is positioned as the best candidate, but Messi evaluates all the options and the Premier League seduces him more than the French League,” says The Sun in its publication.
It is worth remembering that in September 2020, Manchester City offered 600 million euros for the Argentine and for the five seasons, but now, this figure has dropped, taking into account the financial conditions of the club and of the world by the coronavirus pandemic.
