Manny Manuel: “I’m ready to face any process”

Manny Manuel reacted on Friday to the situation that occurred on Thursday in the Court of First Instance of Caguas, when his absence from a hearing on charges of violation of Law 22 led Judge Ricardo Marrero Guerrero to be summoned to prove evidence that his absence was be justified, under penalty of contempt.

Lawyer Yamil Car Pérez, legal representative of Cruz Manuel Hernández, first name of Manny Manuel, presented in the room evidence of the reasons why the singer did not appear in the room. Despite Marrero Guerrero’s stance, both prosecutors in the case told the press that the artist proved that his absence was “justified.”

“I feel good, handling the conditions I have openly shared with all of you with various health professionals. I confess that it is not easy, but they can be sure that I will continue to be firm and work hard to eradicate everything it has been a stumbling block in my path and so I can continue with my personal and professional life, as I have always wanted: free, healthy and happy.I am also ready to face, with the corresponding responsibility, any process that is pending, ”the artist expressed in written statements released Friday.

The artist is undergoing treatment in Puerto Rico.

Lawyer Car Pérez has indicated that the singer will appear in court for the date determined by the judge, May 18, and that therefore the necessary arrangements will be made with the institution where the singer is to have the necessary permits, if he was still interned there.

The case has to do with events related to two traffic accidents. The first took place on December 24, when Manny Manuel collided with a stick on the PR-198 road in Joncs. After being treated at Mennonita Hospital, the performer rented an act, which crashed into a concrete fence on the José de Diego Highway near the Deep River exit.
