Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, Head of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE), delivered the letter on the migration issue that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador sent him to Joe Biden, American President.
Ebrard, who is in Washington to participate in the High Level Economic Dialogue, Handed the document to Antony Blinken, United States Secretary of State, for delivery to Biden.
In the text, López Obrador raises the need for a new treatment of the phenomenon of migration from Central American countries.
“The letter speaks in favor of an approach that prioritizes development and opportunities in the regions of origin of migration, such as the one that has guided Mexico to fund and implement the programs Sowing Life and Youth Building the Future” , detailed the SRE.

Ebrard and Blinken had a bilateral meeting in which they ratified their willingness to strengthen cooperation on various issues.
“The Mexican delegation raised the importance of moving towards the reopening of the common border, protecting the health of communities in both countries, in order to benefit trade and productive activities in the area,” said the SRE .
In his lecture this Thursday morning at the National Palace, López Obrador reported that in the letter he proposed, “with all due respect”, to Biden, “where the workforce will come from to carry out its important plan to strengthen infrastructure in the United States, d “where the construction workers are going to go out, because it’s nothing more money, the work is required to produce. It’s just as important the labor force as the capital or the company.”
