March Madness has been a history of upheaval in 2021. We are on the second day of the round of 16 and it can be said that no one will fall today.
The Cinderella stories of Loyola Chicago and Oral Roberts continued on Sunday. The Ramblers of eight defeated Illinois in a 71-58 victory that made Sister Jean’s prayers come true for Illinois to shoot below 30% of the 3-point line.

Fifteenth seed Oral Roberts started the tournament by upsetting the state of Ohio, and on Sunday maintained an 81-78 victory over Florida, 7 leagues. Oral Roberts has won his games by six points combined, and the Golden Eagles will face the 3-league Arkansas in their first Sweet 16 since 1974.
These were not the only disorders that happened on Sunday. Syracuse’s No. 11 seed looked like some of Jim Boeheim’s best teams to beat West Virginia by 3 seeds and the state of Oregon by 12, after defeating an orange team in Tennessee by 5 seeds, he did. again against the state of Oklahoma of 4.
Goodbye to Drew Timme’s mustache?
Gonzaga, No. 1 seed, had an excellent performance from second forward Drew Timme in his victory over Oklahoma, eight seeded. Timme dropped 30 points, pulled off 13 rebounds and added 4 assists for a good measure. After the game, he was informed that his mother said he had to shave his mustache if the Bulldogs won, which was news to him, it turns out.
“This is news to me.” 😅😂

Luka Garza’s emotional farewell
Iowa, ranked second, was eliminated by Oregon, from 7 pitches, on Monday, but it wasn’t because of Luka Garza’s lack of effort. The Hawkeyes center scored 36 of his team’s 80 points and added nine rebounds for a good measure. After the game, the senior reflected at an emotional press conference about his last game representing Iowa.

Luka Garza, a senior from Iowa, gets excited when he leaves the game for the last time as a Hawkeye.
Something that most impressed Garza’s line? Oregon earned him those points: the Ducks played 16 of their 20 shots.
The sneaker (umm, basketball shoe) doesn’t fit
Remember when Zion Williamson cut his shoe so hard at a 2019 Duke-North Carolina game? Well, something similar happened to Ben Vander Plas, in Ohio, in the second round.
The 6-foot-eight junior stepped on his sole and needed a new pair of shoes halfway through the Bobcats ’clash against fifth-placed Creighton.

Geaux Joe
Joe Burrow led the LSU football team to the 2019 national championship. He hasn’t finished cheering on his school, taking a seat to watch the Eighth Tigers try to upset Michigan, first-class.
