The daughter of former Cuban governor Raúl Castro, Mariela Castro Espín, shared on her Facebook profile the criticism of a supporter of the Castro regime to actor Erdwin Fernández.
The director of the National Center for Sex Education (Cenesex) replicated a text written by Kwenson Joa Sierra, a photographer and audiovisual director from Santiago de Cuba, who accused the actor of being a hypocrite who attacks the Cuban government and he doesn’t do the same when he travels to the United States.
“There are artists who move between Miami and Havana, but only defend freedom of expression in Havana,” wrote Joa Sierra, along with an image of Erdwin Fernandez during a visit to Florida earlier this year.
“The ‘lack of freedoms’ is criticized here, but there is no way to put on a hat with the image of Che, or a pullover that says ‘Down the blockade’, much less to recognize in an interview the work of our doctors . So what freedom are they talking about? Put your little shirt there to believe them, or you will have to sing like the Green Cakes: Hypocrisy, ”he concludes.
Erdwin Fernández Collado -son of the recorded actors Nilda Collado and Erdwin Fernández, the latter creator of the character of the clown Trompoloco- lives in Cuba and is often very active on social media, because as he once said, “say what you think and criticize what is done wrong is not a crime. “

Last July, Erdwin came out in defense of his colleague, actress Susana Perez, who was severely criticized on social media and by the Cuban state press for promoting Donald Trump’s election campaign in the recent US presidential election.
The actor also showed his support to speaker of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, Yunior Morales, who was sending a harsh message to the Government about its project to produce decayed tripe and chicken meat for the consumption of the population.
“I said it, I repeat it and I keep it. Sincerity is synonymous with valence. The coward is the one who hides and justifies mistakes and nonsense. Loving the Fatherland is what defends prosperity and the best for its people, ”said the artist at the time.
