Marilyn Manson pleads not guilty to committing a misdemeanor

Marilyn Manson has pleaded guilty to two counts of assault for misconduct, Billboard reports. The arrest warrant was originally issued by the New Hampshire Police Department in Gilford in October 2019, but was not announced to the public until May this year. The charges are related to an alleged incident at Manson’s concert on August 18, 2019 at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. After Manson turned himself in to police in July and was later released, the musician’s lawyer filed the petition and a waiver of the lawsuit in the Laconia district court.

The incident involved Manson spitting at a videographer during a concert. Manson faces a possible prison sentence (up to a year) and a maximum fine of $ 2,000. After the arrest warrant was made public in May, a Manson lawyer described the charges as “ridiculous” by email to The New York Times.

Manson, who recently appeared in Kanye West’s third Donda event at Soldier Field in Chicago, also faces four lawsuits from different women alleging sexual assault.
