Mario Cristobal, of Oregon, has reported injuries to Kayvon Thibodeaux

We’ve been following the news coming out of Eugene, Oregon, about the state of Ducks defensive monster Kayvon Thibodeaux. He rolled up and ripped an ankle in the first half against Fresno State and had to leave the game, reappearing later with a foot boot.

A couple of days later, Oregon coach Mario Cristobal declared the future NFL draft day-to-day as “day to day,” hoping to be ready to go this Saturday when the Ducks travel to Columbus in Ohio State in a game among the top twelve.

Today we received another update from Cristobal and the status has not changed. Thibodeaux remains “day to day” according to the Oregon chief.

“We are open and honest with injuries,” said Cristóbal … “We don’t lead anyone. We try to get him ready to play. We’ll see where he is closest to playing time.”

We will continue to follow this story, but this Oregon defensive line is completely different without him being part of the lineup. If he can go, how weird would it be if the best player on the field didn’t wear an Ohio state uniform on his shoe?

Cristobal said Thibodeaux is “improving.” “Trying to get there. We are not there yet “, continued Cristobal.

I don’t know if we’ll see more news about Thibodeaux’s until Saturday ends without leaving the tunnel, but if we do, we’ll be on top.
