“I would like to announce it on behalf of the American people. We must make sure that our leaders take responsibility. We cannot have a president of the United States who is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency. and that it can be easily bought by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies, so on January 21 I will file lawsuits against Joe Biden, ”Greene told Greg Kelly of Newsmax.

But Greene in the interview quoted an argument put forward by several Trump allies in the last months of his re-election campaign, while vice president, Biden threatened to withhold a loan to Ukraine if then Attorney General Viktor Shokin was not replaced.
At the time, Shokin was investigating the founder of Burisma Holdings, a natural gas giant in Ukraine, of which Biden’s son Hunter Biden had been a board member since 2014.
The United States threatened to withhold approximately $ 1 billion in loan guarantees if Shokin were not replaced as attorney general, a message Joe Biden sent to Kiev officials while serving as vice president and reported during a Council conference of Foreign Relations of 2018.
Taylor Greene shared a clip of the 2018 conference on Wednesday, in writing “Quid Pro Joe, in his own words …” and “Americans will not tolerate it.”

Although Biden took advantage of the aid to convince Ukraine to oust Shokin in March 2016, there was widespread criticism that Shokin was not pursuing allegations of corruption among the country’s politicians.
The former vice president has refused to act in the best interests of his son, and there is no evidence of illegal acts by the bidens. There is no evidence that Hunter Biden’s work influenced U.S. politics.
In her interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, which aired hours after the House voted to oust Trump for the second time, Greene said she plans to present the dismissal articles to show Americans that “there are Republicans in Congress who are willing to stand up and fight for them. ”
“I am very convinced that I have people in charge who are willing to do the work and I cannot imagine that the people of this country are so afraid of a future of Biden’s presidency that they may be willing to commit violence like them. He did it at the Capitol, here in Washington, DC. We can’t have that, I don’t admit this violence, ”the congresswoman said.
Trump was indicted in December 2019 on charges of abuse of power and obstruction in Congress for pressuring Ukraine’s newly elected president to investigate the Biden family’s dealings in a phone call. He was acquitted by the Republican-controlled Senate last February.
Last week’s deadly pro-Trump uprising at the Capitol came after Trump urged his supporters in a rally earlier in the day to march on Congress in opposition to the legislature’s official count of Biden’s presidential vote. Electoral College, repeating its unfounded claims that the election was “stolen.”
Greene’s commitment to go on to charge Biden came on the same day the House voted in favor of an indictment against Trump, which accused him of inciting the violent mob at the Capitol. Ten House Republicans sided with Democrats in the House 232-197 votes.
