The marketing in the United States of a beer called Palma tries to confuse consumers, and enters the economic war imposed by Washington against Havana.
This criterion, supported by observers and digital media, is based on the recent appearance in Miami (Florida) of Palma, Imitation of Cubal beer, from Cuba, as reflected huellacubana.com.
The creators of Palma admit that it is inspired by the number one in sales on the island and a favorite for more than 75 years, which has been made in Cuba since 1888.
However, amid differences and U.S. trade pressures against this island, analysts interpret the emergence as an additional attempt at financial and trade pressures, known in this nation as a blockade.
On the other hand, the difference can be seen from even its raw materials, as the Crystal of Cuba is made with malt of the best quality, and the clear insular waters, to give a light taste of hops, which refreshes.
In 2007, the Crystal even received the Gold Medal at the International World-Selection, for its excellence and taste.
Món Selection, founded in 1961 in Brussels, Belgium, is an international institute of quality selections that tests consumer products around the world to award them a quality badge. Thus, consumers can choose the ones they consider best.
The plant that makes the Cristal de Cuba, Cerveseria Bucanero SA, in the eastern province of Holguín, celebrated its 30th anniversary on October 24.

The facility was opened in 1990 under the name Mayabe Brewery. In 1997 it became a joint venture between Coralsa and Cerbuco Brewery inc., And assumed its current name.
Its portfolio has five brands of beer (Cristal, Bucanero, Bucanero Max, Cacic, Mayabe, Palma Vidre and Cubanero aggregates, the latter two for export (include Bucanero malt).
It is in particular the Crystal of Cuba the most demanded mark, as much by nationals as by foreign visitors, which allows to suppose as far as the Palm of Miami an intention of plagiarism, and formula to confuse the consumer.
