Marsha Zazula, co-founder of Megaforce Records, has died at the age of 68, her daughter Rikki confirmed on social media on Sunday.

“RIP Mom April 21, 1952 – January 10, 2021,” Rikki posted on Facebook. “Your love, your strength, your memory and your music have changed your life and will ALWAYS continue.”

Metallica, who signed with Elektra Records in 1984, also paid tribute to Zazula on Sunday.

“Rest in peace, Marsha. Thanks for everything, “the post said.” I love @thejonzazula and the Zazula family. “
