Martin Scorsese plays Lily Gladstone as Leonardo DiCaprio’s wife in Apple Killers Of The Flower Moon
With filming set to begin this spring, Martin Scorsese will be the female protagonist of his highly anticipated new film Killers of The Flower Moon.
The veteran director has taken advantage of actress Lily Gladstone, 34, to star alongside Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in the film based on a true story from Apple Original Film, Variety reported Thursday.
It’s a major breakthrough for Gladstone, which is relatively unknown, with roles in only a handful of productions, including the 2016 independent drama Certain Women and the 2019 Showtime Billions series.

Killers Of The Flower Moon is adapted from David Grann’s best-selling crime book of the same name about the brutal murders of Native Americans in the Osage nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s.
The murders became known as Reign Of Terror and became one of the first major cases investigated by the then newly formed FBI.
The killings began after oil was found on the lands of the Osage nation.
Based on a true story: Scorsese directs the drama about the brutal murders of Native Americans of the Osage nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s after oil was discovered on their tribal lands.
Scorsese collaborators: Robert De Niro stars a powerful Oklahoma rancher, William Hale, while DiCaprio plays Hale’s nephew, Ernest Burkhart, married to a woman from Osage.

According to local Oklahoma media, filming will take place from spring to late summer in the Tulsa, Bartlesville and Osage counties.
A virtual casting call for extras was announced last month.
The production has an estimated budget of $ 200 million and will be Scorsese’s first film since Netflix’s 2019 hit The Irishman.
