The first of three Creative Arts 2021 Emmy Awards ceremonies took place on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
And Marvel Studios were the first winners, winning their first Emmy with their Disney + WandaVision series.
The miniseries, starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision, took home the trophy in Exceptional Production Design for a narrative program (half an hour).

WandaVision, which premiered in January 2021, is the first television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Created by Marvel Captain Jac writer Schaeffer, the show takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame 2019 and focuses on the two superpowers who live in an idyllic suburban life in a world that comes out of a 1950s comedy.
The series has been described as a “mix of classic television and the Marvel movie universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.”
Overall, the Disney + series garnered 23 Emmy nominations, which was the highest total of any limited series.

Some of the other categories in which Wanda Vision received Creative Arts Emmy recognition include limited series castings / TV movies, fantasy / science fiction costumes, vintage makeup and / or character (non-prosthetic), vintage hairstyle and / or character, main title design, main theme music, music supervision, original music and lyrics, limited series / TV movies / special music composition, limited series / TV edition movies of single camera images, limited series / TV movies / special sound editing, limited series / Mixes of sound and special TV movies and special visual effects of series or movies.
Along with Olsen and Bettany, WandaVision also stars Debra Jo Rupp (Sharon Davis), Fred Melamed (Todd Davis), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha Harkness), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Jimmy Woo). )) and Evan Peters (Ralph Bohner).
Among the eight Emmy Primetime awards yet to be revealed are: Bettany, who earned a name for featured lead actor in a limited series or anthology or film, and Olsen, who earned a name for featured leading actress in a limited series or anthology or Film.

They have also been recognized: Hahn as a featured supporting actress in a limited series or film or anthology and Matt Shakman for outstanding direction for a limited series or film or anthology.
The nine-episode series also features characters from Captain Marvel, Thor and Ant-Man, and is related to the upcoming 2022 Doctor Strange film in the Multiverse of Madness.
Olsen has been playing Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe which also includes Avengers: Age Of Ultron; Captain America: Civil War; Avengers: Infinity Game and Avengers: Endgame.
The 73rd annual Emmy Creative Arts Awards ceremony will take place tomorrow Sunday and will end next weekend on Sunday, September 19 on CBS at 8 p.m. EST.
