The controversial Marvel PlayStation 5 and PS4 exclusive character, Avengers, will arrive this year. Crystal Dynamics confirmed the web slinger as part of its new roadmap, which emphasizes “playable” content rather than film expansions, such as the recent War for Wakanda add-on.
“Our goal is to provide more compelling content of the Avengers Initiative that can be reproduced,” explains a blog post. “We know that our dedicated fans want challenges worthy of the Avengers, and to achieve that emotion the first time and with the same force the next time they repeat it or try it with a different hero on their list.”

To achieve this, the developer will rework a number of key title mechanisms, including how Gear works. “The new system will allow players to upgrade epic, legendary and exotic equipment from power level 100 to the new power level limit,” the website states. There will also be changes in the use of resources and even in the way cosmetics are unlocked.
Everything will come together with the first Raid of the title: “This will be the most challenging content to date, aimed not only at testing the mastery of each hero, but also at the well-built four-player strike teams out there. and observation is crucial to overcome it ”.
According to Crystal Dynamics, there’s a lot more to share and we’ll see Spider-Man properly closer to launch, with some “here and there on the road” visions. The character will not be part of this week’s PlayStation Showcase, however, as some had predicted. “We can’t wait to show you more in the coming months,” the studio mocks.
