Crystal Dynamics kept its promise again The Marvel Avengers roadmap this week by posting a content calendar for the latest players from now until the end of the year. Specific dates are largely absent from the roadmap, but we do see some key events planned for the next two months, including the long-awaited release of Spider-Man in the game. According to the roadmap, this hero is still slated to be released later this year and will also be PlayStation exclusive.
Developers have said before that Spider-Man would be out in 2021, but, as we’ve seen many times this year, release dates and windows seem more likely to come off than ever. Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Spider-Man, though, with the roadmap and associated blog reaffirming plans to release the hero from the web this year.
Our next roadmap includes what we have planned for the rest of 2021.

“Finally, there will be a new playable Hero with a Hero Hero starring Spider-Man in 2021, only on PlayStation platforms,” the developers confirmed in the blog post linked above. “We’ll have more information about Spider-Man closer to the launch and you might see some here and there along the way.”
So no game or preview of Spider-Man is revealed yet, but we’ll see Spider-Man sometime this year in the game. Everyone will see it, but only those who have a PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation 5 will be able to play as a hero when it is added for free.
Crystal Dynamics also plans to make forays. There is a “Klaw Raid” at the same time as Spider-Man to provide players with a new experience.
“The Klaw Raid features bespoke levels, new threats that require tactical and complex combat, and a stronger enemy variety that is villain-themed,” the blog said. “New enemies called Ecos (sound constructions created by Klaw) have been created and adapted exclusively for this experience. With the increase in power level to 175 which produces more compelling drops, it is a remarkable example of reproducible and rewarding content. which adapts to our mantra to move forward. “
Looking beyond that roadmap, the developers said they also had plans for 2022, but those plans they are not ready to be revealed However. We also know the game will not make an appearance during the PlayStation Showcase that will take place on Thursday, so don’t look for Spider-Man there.
