Congress leaders reached an agreement on an expected second package of incentives, Majority Leading Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced Sunday. The $ 900 billion bill includes a $ 600 stimulus check per person, though that figure will be lower for people who earned more than $ 75 billion in 2019, according to The Washington Post. The bill will also include $ 300 a week in federal unemployment benefits, as well as several million dollars to be spent on schools, transportation and rent and hunger relief. according to the Publication Jeff Stein. Congress hopes to pass the stimulus bill someday in the next few days, pending an ongoing resolution to prevent the government from stopping.
