Meghan and Prince Harry share the Christmas card starring little Archie

On the card, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex focus their attention on a light-haired Archie, as the family is surrounded by their two dogs, a miniature house and lush vegetation. Nearby is a small Christmas tree decorated with a red bow.

“Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” the card says.

The image, which appears to be an illustration, represents the first look at Archie since her first birthday in May.
“The original photo of the family was taken at her home earlier this month by the duchess’s mother,” a family spokesman said, according to page six. “The small Christmas tree, including the home ornaments and other decorations, was selected by Archie and the tree will be replanted after the holidays.”
Harry and Meghan have been fiercely protective of Archie’s privacy and filed a lawsuit in July over photos of their paparazzi. The couple retired from their role as members of the royal family in early 2020 and moved to Santa Barbara, California in July.

The Christmas postcard was launched through Mayhew, a London-based animal welfare charity that is one of Meghan’s sponsorships.

“This year, as a family, we’ve made donations to various charities thinking of you guys,” Meghan says on the card. “From a local California organization that helps families get out of homelessness, to two of our UK sponsorships: one that supports animal and community welfare and the other, a memorial fund for a dear friend who helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda., we have honored his work on behalf of all of us. ”

Caroline Yates, CEO of Mayhew, said the organization was thrilled to have Markle as a patron.

“We have been especially honored to recently receive a personal donation from the Duke and Duchess, which will allow us to further help cats, dogs and pet owners who need it during this harsh winter period,” Yates wrote.
