Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, met with CA Governor Gavin Newsom: report

According to a report, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were involved a little more in American politics than previously thought.

The couple had an hour-long video meeting with California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Oct. 19, less than a month before the presidential election, The Sun reported.

It is unknown what Harry and Meghan discussed with Newsom during the meeting, which occurred when Newsom was in the midst of deciding who would take the place of Vice President Kamala Harris in the U.S. Senate.

The governor finally selected Alex Padilla to succeed Harris.

The royals are expected to stay out of politics.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had already wiped out a bunch of royal feathers urging Americans to vote in the contest between then-President Trump and current President Joe Biden.

“As we approach this November, it is vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity,” Harry said in September.

Markle added: “We are six weeks away from the election and today is Voter Registration Day. Every four years we are told the same thing: ‘This is the most important election of our lives.’ ”.

The Newsom office, which did not want to say what was discussed during the October meeting, did not immediately return a request for comment from The Post.
