Meghan Markle chose a very special brilliance for her upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In a new teaser of information, which will air on March 7 on CBS, the Duchess of Sussex, 39, is seen accessorizing her black Armani dress embroidered with flowers with various jewelry, including a tennis bracelet. Princess Diamond Diana Collection.
Markle first dressed in Cartier’s brilliant style for a state dinner in Fiji during his royal tour of Oceania with Prince Harry in October 2018; he later took her to a reception in Tonga the same month, as well as to celebrate Commonwealth Day in 2019.
In particular, it is also the same bracelet that was used to make the Duchess’s three-stone engagement ring in 2017.
“I got the main stone from Botswana and the small diamonds [on] both sides belong to my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure she is with us on this crazy journey together, ”Prince Harry, 36, explained.
“The inclusion of that, and obviously not being able to meet her mother, is so important to me that she knows she’s part of that with us,” Markle added.
Although the Sussex have since departed from their royal roles, it is clear that their connection to the late Princess of Wales remains. “They wanted to wear the bracelet to have it [Harry’s] mother there with them during the interview, ”a spokeswoman for the Duchess said on the show“ Today ”of her look to sit with 67-year-old Winfrey.
Markle has worn a variety of gems from her mother-in-law over the past few years, from the dazzling aquamarine ring she chose for her wedding reception in 2018 to the gold fist and butterfly earrings she wore to Australia later that same year.
It is logical that the Duchess brought a piece of Diana for her interview with Oprah, as the tragic fate of the deceased royal seems to be one of the main points of discussion during the television special.
“My biggest concern was the story being repeated,” Harry shares in the introductory video. “I’m very relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to my wife by my side, because I can’t begin to imagine what she should have been like on her own this whole process all these years ago.”
The Duke added, “It’s been incredibly tough for both of us, but at least we got along.”
