From the Trail Gazette we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
If you took a look at a spreadsheet detailing the circumstances and events of 2021, it would be very clear that we have all had many things to complain about. After a more detailed inspection, you will only be able to see that we are also very grateful. Life itself is a blessing, its challenges often become great opportunities in our future as we learn and grow from everything we achieve to overcome these challenges. We all love and share a great community and in the end we always find a way to move forward and thrive.
We want to thank our community for the grace and support you have given us in reporting on the news, with reports made and documented, some bad, some good, some that provide us with joy and inspiration, others that evoke sadness and anger. As we reported and documented many of the challenges we faced in 2021, we also felt the roller coaster of emotions that has been this year.
The evacuation week was a period of time that took us too long to stop and be afraid of the situation as we worked 24 hours a day posting updates online to make sure we were all aware and safe. Only after looking back could we fully appreciate the weight of events.
We write editorials on topics and perspectives to make sure conversations and debates arise from all sides and that the product gets a better end result for our community.
We also thank all of our advertisers for allowing us to cover the news. This is a costly process in attending all municipal governments, district taxation, school board meetings, etc., to say nothing of the cost of researching and checking our items. Once again, thanks to these advertisers, you are the fuel that allows us to publish not only third-party press magazines and news, but fact-proven articles that force those who govern, to account to people who “people” he has employed them. direct and govern.
This year we’ve had a lot of the news, with the pandemic, the fires, the local and national elections, but our favorites are the articles where we deal with ours, our people and the many things that make Estes Park so special. We hope our Inside Business, Inside People and Inside Arts do well. I also hope you enjoyed reading our local roles about our children, their accomplishments, both at school and outside. Personally, I loved our coverage of Eagle Scouts and Girl Scouts cookie sales.
This Park, Merry Christmas, and here comes a great 2021! Thanks! We encourage you to support us and, as always, feel free to write to me about things we can do a better job of or about news ideas that we can cover or incorporate into our coverage.
Merry Christmas,
