Mets win first in the Subway Series

NEW YORK – Rookie Tylor Megill struck out at 10, the highest record of his career, in seven innings, and the New York Mets beat a staggering Yankees in the same city on Friday 10-3.

The 10 winds by Megill also represented his highest figure in his career. The Mets took advantage of a series of physical and mental errors from the Yankees, in the first game of the second Series of the Subway in the season.

In his 15th opening in his senior year, Megill (3-4) accepted 4 p.m. hits and gave up a ball base in a game that put the Mets back on track. .500 (71-71). The 26-year-old straight reached 97.2 miles per hour with his throws, well above the 94.5 average with which he reached the match.

The Yankees lost for the seventh time in a row and for 11th in 13 games after securing a 13-game winning streak. They started the night with a half-game advantage over Toronro, in the race for the second wild card of the American.

Jordan Montgomery (5-6) accepted seven runs, the limit of his career, in three innings and a third. Only five of them were clean.

For the Yankees, the Venezuelan Gleyber Torres 4-1.

For the Mets the Puerto Ricans Javier Báez of 4-3 with one annotated and two produced and Francisco Lindor of 3-1 with two annotated and one impelled.
