At 10:08 this Wednesday, the communications coordinator of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), Alessandra Quiñónez, broke the silence she had maintained since last Friday, April 7, when she managed to its version of this ministry on why a debt of $ 9 million had not been paid to the integrating company of Producers of the State of Mexico, SA de CV (IPEM).
“Good morning, I share the official position of the Mexican company IPEM,” he wrote in a first message. He then attached a document, a press release, dated April 13, in which this company, among other things, stated that the intention of the news published by this newspaper on April 13, was “to affect the image of ‘one of our business partners’, i.e. from the MAG, as the status of the contents of the letter in which he warned about arbitration had not been verified in the event that the debt was not settled.

The statement sent by Quiñónez indicates that there is no such threat, as a product of “a sincere and frank dialogue with government authorities, especially with the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, David Martínez, with whom an agreement was reached , favorable to both parties “.
The latter denotes that Agriculture’s debt with IPEM has not been settled. According to the February 18 note, sent by IPEM, it is nine million dollars. Upon receiving the document sent by Quiñónez, she was asked if the MAG would give her version of the debt, to which she replied with a yes. “We’re going to have a good time,” he added.
