Mexican Giuliama Olmos and Canadian Sharon Fichman advanced to the quarterfinals in the women’s doubles at the Australian Open, After beating British racket Heather Watson and fellow Canadian Annie Fernández 6-3, 6-2.
From a ticket to the semifinals, Giuliana Olmos, a 27-year-old Mexican born in Austria, ranked 4th in the WTA, and her 30-year-old American partner will face the Czech duo made up of Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova.
