Miami Hurricanes suspends backups of Jaylan Knighton and Larry Hodges

The Miami hurricanes suspended two more players on Saturday for violations of team rules, including safety runner Jaylan Knighton.

Knighton will miss four games, and Larry Hodges will miss two games. Earlier this week, Miami coach Manny Diaz said security guard Avantae Williams would be suspended for six games.

Knighton was the only one of the three suspended players to appear in the two-depth depth chart released this week.

Donald Chaney Jr. is expected to appear further behind starting runner Cam’Ron Harris. Last season, Knighton started two games and rushed for 209 yards with two total touchdowns.

The No. 14 from Miami plays No. 1 in Alabama on Saturday at the opening of the season for both teams.
