Michael B. Jordan is open to returning as Killmonger to the Black Panther franchise

The sudden and premature death of actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020 left many questions about where the Black Panther franchise will go.

Michael B. Jordan, who acted as the villain in the film, Killmonger, revealed to him People Magazine who is open to reprise the role in future films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The 33-year-old star also spoke about the loss of his friend and former co-star and said he is still in mourning.

When asked about Boseman’s passing at the age of 44, Jordan was sincere about how difficult it has been to deal with.

“This is very, very close and loved by my heart for many obvious reasons,” he said. ‘[I] I had a very hard year losing someone close to me. And what that means for this franchise is that it was devastating.

But being in this world in a character I loved to play with and work with [writer/director Ryan Coogler] and all that good, is familiar. We created a family over there, ”Jordan explained.

Adding, “So being able to be in this world again is something that, I think, will always be on the table with some capacity.”

Boseman died of Phase IV colon cancer in August, which was first diagnosed in 2016, although it was never publicly revealed until after his death.

Marvel studios president Kevin Feige has said they will not use a Chadwick Boseman CG or re-project another actor as King T’challa. As for Jordan’s Killmonger, there are no plans to return, but rumors suggest it’s a possibility.
