“Michael Myers” was spotted on Texas Beach during Tropical Storm Nicholas

GALVESTON, Texas – A man dressed as Michael Myers was seen walking along a Texas beach during Tropical Storm Nicholas this week.

Turns out it was a Galveston lawyer named Mark Metzger who was taking a walk on Monday as rain and strong winds hit the area.

According to the Galveston County newspaper, Galveston police responded to the area after receiving phone calls about a man walking along the beach with what looked like a bloody knife.

The department spokeswoman, Sergeant. Stacy Papillion told the Daily News that Metzger was cited for disorderly conduct and released.

Since then, the lawyer has spoken out on social media and told ABC 13 that he has made jokes like this before.

“I’ve been stretching these things for a while … back at Harvey I sailed in a business suit,” Metzger said. “I carry a chain of unicorn floats around the [Galveston] Strand when it floods, so all the kids in the buildings (they can’t go anywhere or do anything), you know it brings them some joy. “

Metzger posted an update on his personal Facebook page on Monday saying that “bringing positive vibes to twilight and hardship, generating some laughter, helping people break a smile and restore our faith in humanity through the ‘Humor is 100% what I’m talking about.’

He said it’s “still fuzzy” about what exactly is illegal to joke about, but plans to continue his messes as long as it makes people smile.
