Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming to the next gen Xbox consoles next summer

Microsoft Flight Simulator has always been scheduled to come to Xbox consoles and PCs, and now Microsoft has finally given its release deadline. It will launch at some point in the summer of 2021 and will be available on Game Boss from day one. Significantly, the title does not appear to be coming to Xbox One, One S or One X – it is described in the trailer as “coming to all new Xbox” with Series S and Series X logos. This will make Microsoft Flight Simulator the next gen-exclusive Xbox Game Studios title; The company has promised to bring other upcoming games like Hollow Infinite to older machines for now. Microsoft Flight Simulator is much needed on PCs, so running on the limited hardware of the original Xbox One would not be practical. Jork Newman, president of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator, said earlier this year that “Xbox is definitely renewing our optimization efforts.”
