The Passport Management of the National Migration Institute (INM) Reported that the four printing centers of passports in the United States are working normally and without reporting failures.

The maintenance of the printing equipment abroad is the responsibility of Migration while the enabling of data and printing in the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs.
Due to the demand for passports by Hondurans in the United States, other printing centers have had to support them. “Houston, Charlotte and Chicago are the ones that are having the most demand,” Garcia explained.

Passport printing centers are located in the cities of Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, New York and Miami. All are technically qualified to print passports.
INM figures reveal that from November 2020 to January 2021, nearly 24,767 passports were printed in the United States and Spain 4,259.

As for Honduras, the appointments in Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and La Ceiba, are being granted until March of this year due to the demand and the necessary extension for the biosecurity measures that must be maintained in the pandemic.
The INM advised citizens to use the electronic platforms of this institution to maintain mandatory social distancing.
