She was admitted to the Naval Hospital from April 6 to 28, I entered a critical, serious, life-threatening condition. Photo: Secret Nature.
“I had a cough, a fever, a lot of shortness of breath and decay and when I had the plaque urgently in the polyclinic I got bronchopneumonia in both lungs. To be honest, when I was put in the ambulance, already sent by the Naval (Central Military Hospital Luis Díaz Soto), I looked at my husband and said, Robert I will die. For him this was a very big blow, he was very impacted and also by my mother.
The nurse who went with me to the ambulance took me very well, very well, he said to me: you will not die, breathe, at the same time they put oxygen in my ambulance and ran to the hospital. When they arrived I heard the nurse say: this patient is going for therapy, I don’t know what she was told, but he replied: I’m going to take her to therapy, until I leave her in therapy I’m not leaving.
I realized they were running with me on the stretcher until therapy, I saw the glasses, I saw in the distance like a doctor, I closed my eyes and didn’t open them anymore. IStüve admitted to the Naval Hospital from 6 to 28 April, I entered a critical, serious, life-threatening condition, there I was in therapy from the time I entered until I left the hospital . I was intubated for 18 days, the doctors did not count on me, because I did not respond to medications, which influenced my illness, one of them is Cushing’s Syndrome, I am also hypertensive, type 2 diabetes mellitus.
During the time I was in a coma I felt nothing, nothing, or what they did to me. After the 18 days I was intubated, which didn’t respond, I was taken up to the room and had a tracheotomy and after that it was that I came to react. I had a strange dream, which was in a bit of fashion, something was going around and there were a lot of beautiful dresses of all colors and they were saying to me: you have to put on white and I put on purple and I saw blue and the end I opened my eyes and the first thing I said was: water. A nurse told me: calm down, calm down, everything is fine.
The first thing I asked the doctor: how is my family? I live with my mother, my 93-year-old grandmother, my husband and my uncle. Thank God, the four of them didn’t get the virus. This relieved me a lot.
Dr. Beatriz always said to me: Mileidys, the truth is that you are a warrior, you are very strong, but I didn’t know why she told me that. Dr. Rafael always came in, they all passed by and said to me: Mileidys, a lot of people have called you, there are a lot of people who love you. I was asked about Roberton, who is my husband. Then I started: I’m hungry, give me yogurt. They say that since I reacted, I started asking for food.
This has been very sad, unpleasant, something I will never forget. I want to ask everyone to take care because this is a very bad experience, very unpleasant and very sad. You need to be very careful and follow all the rules that are planned to avoid catching this virus, because it is very hard for the person who catches it, in addition to the family that suffers from it and the doctors who are not used to losing it. nobody, they always want to save all lives. Yet, when one comes out of it, one still remembers what happened and is afraid of relapse, of having a relapse.
I would like to thank the nursing staff, Almost all of them were men, and they were always with me supporting me, they encouraged me a lot, I would like to thank especially the nurse Ernesto Rivera who was with me all the time, as I say, never let me go from the hand, and to nurse Alexei, who were the two who were most with me during my stay; but also to the others, to all who were in one way or another with me as well, and I thank the entire management of the Naval Hospital.
To all her doctors and in this case I have to thank the doctors of therapy who were with me, I would like to say their names, because I thank them for being alive: Dr. Beatriz Santiesteban, Daniela Olivera, Ariadna Sánchez, Rafael Venegas Rodríguez (Head of Therapy, he used to call me Queen Mileydis), Raúl Santana Sánchez, Pedro Aroche Díaz and Rubén Peña Ruiz. Every day I thank them for saving my life, because I was sincerely reborn, I am very grateful to Cuban medicine, to all the scientists, to the Cuban government that has supported us, for me I am an achievement, a miracle of Cuban medicine. “
