After waiting so long for the December snow, Minnesota could be ready for two big storms in a week.
The National Weather Service says Minnesota is scheduled for a light snow round on Sunday, which could bring up to two inches of snow in some parts of Minnesota, with the Twin Cities forecast for dust.
But this could serve as a simple snack for a larger snow system coming to the state.
While the National Meteorological Service does not rely on projected snow levels due to the uncertainty of the model, it does say that the Twin Cities are in an area most likely to see “a shocking winter climate.”
“There are several chances of snow this week,” he said. “On Sunday a light snow arrives, accompanied by blown snow in the western areas. A stronger winter storm develops on Tuesday and Wednesday.”
Meanwhile, BMTN’s Sven Sundgaard has shared a look at some of the upcoming storm models, four of which show that the twin cities receive at least some snow, and two show that you get a significant amount.
