A minor died today during the day of baptisms a church in the river Pau, in the municipality of San Francisco Menéndez, department of Ahuachapán.

The tributary is the same that serves as a natural border to El Salvador and Guatemala, and runs under the border bridge on the corner of La Hachadura.

Local media reports indicate the young man broke away from the group of parishioners and drowned in the river, then was swept away by a current.
