Minute Maid Park will once again serve as a megasite vaccine this weekend

HOUSTON – Minute Maid Park will once again serve as a megasite against the coronavirus vaccine on Saturday, according to a tweet from the Houston Department of Health.

Vaccines will only be given by appointment and at this time all time slots are full. People who have already made an appointment are being contacted to find out about the new location, health officials said.

Officials said they hope to be able to open new time slots for Saturday’s clinic and the information will be posted at houstonemergency.org/covid19. There was no indication of how many slots could be available.

More than 3,800 people were vaccinated when the city opened the first megasite at The Juice Box last weekend. On the day of the event about 1,000 appointment spaces were made available and filled in about half an hour.
